Designers are showing a fresh perspective of this unpopular trend by pairing shoulder pads with looks that are slimming in hopes to enhance its popularity. Initially, shoulder pads arrived on the fashion scene to create long sensual necklines and for this season, designers have toned down the volume and created looks that enhance rather than distract.
Known for making bold statements with its strong architectural structure, shoulder pads are best suited for jackets and dresses with minimal volume.
Even the most trendy of trendsetters maintains an apprehension for shoulder pads but one benefit to this trend is that it makes the hips look smaller! No that wasn't a typo. Shoulder pads make the hips look smaller. So, rather than shun this trend, embrace it because shoulder pads do have your best figure in mind.
